Last Saturday exactly 5.30 pm multicolored lights were lit on Christmas trees in Bolshaya Berestovitsa and in the most important villages of the district.
The largest action on lighting the New Year lights took place in the district center on the Town Hall Square. An interesting cultural and entertainment program was offered to the attention of the audience. Her presenters announced that at 5 pm on Saturdays it will be possible to meet here fairy-tale characters, watch cartoon demonstrations, play different games and listen to New Year’s music hits.
Besides a New Year’s surprise was prepared for the residents of Berestovitsa this year — the opening of the residence of Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden.
The guests of the festive event were treated to mulled wine, branded pancakes, hot tea and coffee.
And, of course, the main characters of the holiday were Santa Claus with the Snow Maiden. They congratulated all the guests with the opening of the New Year season, danced with children around the Christmas tree.
The holiday was the start of the charity event «Our Children». The leaders of all public organizations of the region gathered here. With the beginning of this traditional event, which is held annually on the eve of Christmas and New Year holidays, congratulated warmly the audience the deputy chairman of the district executive committee Sergey Chikun.
Svetlana Sunelik, deputy head of the education department of the district executive committee, told about events within the campaign “Our Children” in Berestovitsa district.
And the celebration ended with a dance around the beautiful Christmas tree with Santa Claus and Snow Maiden.
At the same time two huge multi-colored balls lit in the form of voluminous New Year’s toys. And at once they turned into a popular photo zone among numerous guests of the holiday. These balls-toys, one painted in bright blue-green tones, and the other in red-yellow, fit very harmoniously into the New Year’s interior of the central square of the town.
