Last week the official delegation of the Riscani district of the Republic of Moldova was on a visit to the Berestovitsa District. On February 18 the chairman of the Berestovitsa district executive committee Anton Kulisevich and the head of the Riscani district of the Republic of Moldova Vasile Secrieru signed an agreement on cooperation in agriculture, education, health, sports, culture and tourism. The Moldovan delegation also included the head of the district council Vladimir Cholak, the deputy head of the district for agricultural issues Valeriu Bogdan, and the head physician of the region Gheorghe Roche.
“We hope that this visit is not the last meeting, that our relations will develop further”, said during the signing ceremony the chairman of the Berestovitsa district executive committee Anton Kulisevich. “After all, every big business always starts with small steps. But most important, there should be understanding among people. I am sure that despite the fact that we are divided by two borders, we will find mutual understanding on various issues”.
“We also have an agricultural region,” said the head of the Riscani district, Vasile Secrieru. “I think this will be a good basis for our cooperation. We have already taken the first steps, we hope that this will not remain on paper, but will help to deepen our mutual ties in various areas: in the agricultural, healthcare, tourism development, and social sectors.
Riscani district is located in the northwestern part of the Republic of Moldova. It has a favorable geographical position. Important transport routes from Western Europe to Ukraine, as well as from south to north of the country, pass through it.
The guests visited the Squirrel Museum, a secondary school in Berestovitsa and the Central District Hospital.
The visit program also included acquaintance with the industrial and social facilities of some other agricultural settlements.
